Yian is my second solo project and is intent on being more immediate and direct than my previous projects. During the composition, I made large use of counterpoint and juxtaposition of melody and rhythm but also of one part to the whole.

Production wise, this EP has Dub and Grime influences, where the kick holds the rhythm into place and everything is built around it. The synthesizers I used to create this were primarily FM, due to the amount of control that can be used in sound design and modeling.
